Bin Calculations Tab

Overview

The Bin Calculations Tab allows users to edit questions and calculations for the bins associated with a given mix design. From here, users can edit how the Bins Tab computes numerical information from the mix design worksheet. It can be accessed through the Proportioning Tab of the Mix Design Details Tab. Users can edit bin questions and calculations for a mix design template in the Template Bin Calculations Tab.

 

 

Description

The Bin Calculations Tab consists of a Questions Tab and a Calculations Tab, which function identically to the corresponding tabs under the Test Definition Tab, with one important distinction: these questions and calculations only appear in and serve functionality for the Bins Tab. Users can use the questions and calculations made in this tab to compute new information in the Bin Calculation window under the Bins Tab.

 

Notes

• Because the questions in the Bin Calculations tab are purely informational (they are used to display the results of bin calculations in the Bin Calculation window under the Bins Tab), users can only add calculation result, linked test, and lookup table question types in the Bin Calculations Tab.

• Variables and questions do not need to be included in print or required to be added to a bin calculation. But, to ensure the calculation produces a result, the elements should be marked as required.
