Edit Test

Overview

The process to edit a test is available through the Test Definitions Tab, which can be accessed through the Tests Window. The process of editing a test may also be initiated through the Tests Tab of the Material Definition Window.

 

Prerequisites

A test must have been added.

 

Edit Test

To edit a test:

• Select a test from the drop-down menu.

• Edit desired field(s).

• Add questions and add calculations as needed.

• Click on the Save Button.

 

Notes

• Some test information is no longer editable once a test has been assigned to equipment, a material, or a sample in the system. To change these information fields, a user must either create a copy or new version of a test.

• A user can make a copy of a test by clicking on the Copy Button. The new copy will display, with the name "Copy of [Copied Test Name]."

• A user can make a new version of a test by clicking on the New Version Button. The new version will display with a indicator in the upper right hand side of the window.

• Users are prevented from saving changes to a system item to which changes have already been made. This prevents concurrency errors.
