New Test

Overview

The ability to add a new test is available through the Test Definitions Tab, which can be accessed through the Tests Window.

 

New Test

To add a new test:

• Click on the New Button.

• Fill out the required header information as indicated by an asterisk.

• Fill out all other pertinent information, such as Test Type or Standard Note.

• Add questions, calculations, and documents as needed.

• Click on the Save Button.

 

Notes

• The process of adding a test can be canceled at any time by clicking on the Cancel Add Button.

• A user can make a copy of a test by clicking on the Copy Button. The new copy will display, with the name "Copy of [Copied Test Name]."

• A user can make a new version of a test by clicking on the New Version Button. The new version will display with a version number in its name and an indicator in the upper right hand side of the Test Definitions Tab.

• Test types can be Material Test or Equipment Calibration. When adding a test to logged equipment or material samples, only options indicated for the correct type of test will show.

• The Standard Note field is displayed at the bottom of each sample test report.
