The process to edit a calculation in a test is available through the Calculations Tab of the Test Definitions Tab., which can be accessed through the Tests Window.

Prerequisites

  • A test must have been added.

  • A calculation must have been added to a test.

Edit Calculation

To edit a calculation:

  • Search for and select a test from the Select Test drop-down menu.

  • Right click on the calculation to be edited in the Calculations Table.

  • Select "Edit Calculation" in the context-sensitive menu.

    • Users can also begin the process of editing a calculation by clicking on the calculation to be edited in the Calculations table. This will highlight the calculation, indicating that it has been selected.

    • Users can then click on the Edit Button.

  • The Edit Calculation window is displayed.

    • Edit the name and description as needed.

    • Enter the calculation, including any mathematical operators ( such as (), /, +, -, and *) and/or excel formulas, and insert field variables where appropriate by clicking on the Insert button next to the desired field.

      • Users can insert variables from test questions using the Test Questions Tab and variables from mix designs using the Mix Design Variables tab.

    • Click on the Save Button.

Notes

  • Test questions are assigned a variable letter for calculations according to the order in which they were added to the test. Changing the order in which questions appear in a test will not change variable letters.

  • Users are prevented from saving changes to a system item to which changes have already been made. This prevents concurrency errors.
