Split Sample

Overview

The process to split a material sample is available through the Samples Window.

 

Prerequisites

A sample must have been added.

 

Split Sample

To split a material sample:

• Right click on the sample to be split in the Samples table.

• Select "Split Sample" in the context-sensitive menu.

• A new pop-up window is displayed.

  

• To add additional splits, right click anywhere in the table and select "Add Split" in the context-sensitive menu.

• Enter the names of the labs responsible for the material sample tests and the quantity of samples each lab will inspect

• Note that a new samples will appear in the Samples table, marked with a split icon () in the sample identifier column.

 

Notes

Users can see what sample entries make up the split material sample by hovering the cursor over the split icon ().
