Add Test

Overview

The ability to add a test to a material is available through the Tests Tab of the Material Definition Window.

 

Prerequisites

A material must have been added.

 

Add Test

To add a test:

• Select a material from the drop-down menu.

• Right click anywhere in the Tests table.

• Select "Add Test" in the context-sensitive menu.

• A new pop-up window is displayed.

  • Select a Test from the drop-down menu.

  • Enter the required fields as indicated by an orange asterisk.

  • Use the "Test is Required" checkbox to indicate the test is required for the material.

  • Add comments and fill in all other desired fields, including all required passing values.

  • Click on the OK Button.

• Click on the Save Button.

 

Notes

• The Tests Tab in the Material Definition Window is used to manage tests included with a material sample by default. To add a test to a particular material sample, a user must use the Test Suite Window.

• Users are prevented from saving changes to a system item to which changes have already been made. This prevents concurrency errors.
