New Mix Design Template

Overview

The process to add a new mix design template is available through the Mix Design Templates Tab. After creation, mix design templates can be used to create new mix designs. To create a mix design from scratch in the iPDWeb application, users must instead use the Mix Design Details Tab.

 

New Mix Design Template

To add a mix design template:

  • Click on the New Button.

  • Enter the information in the required fields indicated by an asterisk.

    • Enter template name in the Template Name field.

    • Select mix design type and material code from the available drop-down menus.

  • Enter dates in the Effective and Expiration Date fields or choose the dates using the date picker.

  • Add and edit any attributes, variables, proportioning elements, tests, and documents as necessary.

  • Click on the Save Button.

 

Notes

  • An add can be canceled at any time by clicking on the Cancel Add Button and then selecting Yes from the pop-up window.

  • When the expiration date of a mix design template comes to pass, the mix design template is expired and cannot be used or selected by contractors any more.

  • A user may create a copy of a mix design template by clicking on the Copy Button. The copy will appear with the name "Copy of [Template Name]."

    • The copy can be canceled at any time by clicking on the Cancel Copy Button and the selecting Yes from the pop-up window.

  • A user may create a new version of a mix design template by clicking on the New Version Button.

    • The new version can be canceled at any time by clicking on the Cancel Version Button and selecting Yes from the pop-up window.

  • Users can edit the information about a mix design template that will be included in printed reports in the Templates Attributes Tab.

  • Users can edit the variables associated with a given mix design template in the Templates Variables Tab.

  • Users can edit the questions, calculations, associated test, and bins associated with a given mix design template in the Templates Proportioning Tab.

  • Users can review and manage the tests added to a given mix design template in the Templates Tests Tab

  • Users can edit the documents for a given mix design template in the Templates Documents Tab.

  • Users are prevented from saving changes to a system item to which changes have already been made. This prevents concurrency errors.
