Change Laboratory Name

Overview

The ability to change a laboratory name is available through the Laboratory Location Tab

 

Change Name

To record a change to a laboratory's name:

• Search for and select a laboratory from the drop-down menu.

• Click on the Change Name Button.

• The Change Name Window will appear

  

• Enter a new name in the New Name field.

• Click on the Change Button.

 

Notes

• The Change Name function is used to record the different names used to refer to a laboratory. With this information, historical records and reports can refer to a laboratory by the appropriate name according to the date associated with the records, rather than a new name.

• Users are prevented from saving changes to a system item to which changes have already been made. This prevents concurrency errors.
